England v Egypt

England host Egypt at Wembley tonight and it will be refreshing to see the football making the headlines for a change.

The build up to the match has been dominated by off-field actions of key players and no further analysis of the John Terry saga is needed, but it will certainly be interesting to see just how united the squad are following the last couple of months.

On the pitch, England will be without three of their first choice defenders with only the out of form Terry remaining from what would be Capello’s preferred line up. Throw in an inexperienced goalkeeper in Joe Hart and it could make for a very interesting night in North London.

England are a best price of 4/11 to win the match, but that seems short against such talented opposition.

Egypt have won three African Cup of nations in a row and deserve more respect than the 8/1 quotes that are generally available. If this game had been one of the more fashionable African teams such as Ivory Coast or Ghana, the prices would have been much closer.
