Dear member

History tells us that most play-off finals are close, and other than the odd occassion (Preston's 3 goals in 20 first half minutes against Swindon come to mind) favouritism is no guarantee of success.

Derby's last play-off final back in 2007 saw them beat red hot favourites West Brom and they will be hoping for a repeat on Monday. The game is a virtual sell-out. Villa have been the form side but have to lay the ghost of last season's defeat to Fulham in the final. The way Derby dug in against leeds gives hopes for optimism.

Frank Lampard is the hot favourite fro the Chelsea job but if this is to be his last game in charge at Derby he can go out on a high.

Tranmere won the national League play-off last season and can put that experince to good use - but they face a side in newport who have even more recent experince of playing at Wembley with three games in recent times.

Charlton and Sunderland promise to top 50,000 for the League 1 play-off and we fancy the London side to just nick it.
