The two most intriguing fixtures for us feature last weeks FA Cup semi-finalists Liverpool and Villa.

The layers seem to have taken contrasting views - Liverpool despite a poor showing at Wembley - skipper Steven Gerrard was anonymous and half his team mates never showed up- are odds-on for the trip to West Brom.

In contrast, Villa, who also travel - to the Eitihad - are as big as 12s - Boyles  & Betfair- to cause a shock.

City are not the good thing at home 2/7 would suggest. City have only won 11 of 16 home games drawing 3 and losing 2. Villa are struggling for points and could still be relegated - despite their Cup success.

But Christian Benteke is the man of the moment and City can't keep a clean sheet - so we can't have the home win at these odds.

Whether Villa will come to try and get a pioint is another story and the best bet for us is the draw at 11/2 in places.

Baggies boss, Tony Pulis has never lost a home game to Liverpool in the Premier League. Now safe, expect a more expansive game plan. West Brom have some quality going forwards and can cause Liverpool all sorts of problems.

The Reds are in danger of having a dire season and could yet fail to qualify for Europe in any form-talk of a top four spot looks optimistic - Brendan Rodgers could become the first Liverpool boss not to win a trophy in his first three seasons. Even Roy Evans did that.

Liverpool are 7 points behind 4th placed Man City and level with Spurs for the Europa League spot. With several firms offering 16/5 about a home win that has to be tempting - but laying Liverpool at around evens is the way to go. Despite only drawing one road game all season - we can't see them winning this one and at these odds they have to be opposed.
