There is a long way to go as they say - and England may still overcome the huge disappointment of conceding a 90+2 minute goal against Russia.

That blow gave Wales a head start in Group B after beating a decent looking Slovakian side 2-1.

After dominating the first half and going in ahead after a super strike from Gareth Bale - the Welsh lost their way in the second half. When Slovakia euqlaised with over half an hour to go it looked like they might go on and win the game.

But, susbtitute Robson Kanu nicked a winner on 82 minutes to send the Welsh into raptures. It was their first competition win since 1958.

England, 1/3 to win the Group are now even money and Wales (13/2 in the morning) are no bigger than 5/2. If Wales beat England on Thursday then they will know they have qualified.

England on the other hand must win the game to have a chance of winning the group.

It's all to play for and whilst player- for-player Wales are well behind England's level they have two vital ingedients - team spirit and experience.

England will be the side undere pressure.
