Stoke need to get at least 7 points from their last three games against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, at home to Palace then away at Swansea to have any chnance of retaining their Premier League status.

Stoke have only won six games all season - their sole away win coming at Watford back in the Autumn.

Their recent record at Anfield is hardly inspiring either with two 4-1 defaets the last twice and you have to back five and six years ago to see a better Stoke side getting a point.

To be fair, Paul Lambert's men have improved recently and with more clinical finishing they could have beaten both Burnely and West Ham after leading. But, the season was lost long ago with an indifferent start and Lambert hasn't improved on Mark Hughes strike rate.

However, Liverpool still have to be wary of the second leg Champions League tie in Rome and can't afford to risk key players.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was the latest to have his season ended after he sustained knee ligament damage in the midweek win over Roma. That could lead to an opening for youngster Ben Woodburn to feature alongside Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Ben Woodburn could feature for Liverpool following Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's injury

Forward Sadio Mane is unlikely to be risked after he was pictured visiting a private hospital on Thursday, although Klopp insisted the Senegal international's problem was not serious.

Stoke have never won a top flight league game at Anfield and Jürgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten at home in the Premier League this season.Cue a shock!

Elsehwere, Huddersfield at home to Everton and Palace at home to Leicester can move nearer safety with a point each. Both draws are decent bets.
